The fund, which was announced this week, will be managed by the church's investment arm, the Church of England Investment Office, reports the BBC.
The money will be doled out over five years, with the church hoping to raise $100 million by the time it's done.
The fund, which will be the church's first investment in impact investing, will focus on areas where the church believes there's a "moral or financial imperative," per the church's website.
It's not the church's first foray into impact investing, either.
In 2015, the church established the UK's Impact Investing Institute, a not-for-profit focused on impact investing, per the Pioneers Post.
The idea is for companies to invest in causes that have an impact on the world's economy, and the church hopes the fund will help it do just that.
The fund will be managed by the church's charity arm, the Church of England Foundation. Read the Entire ArticleSelected Grant News Headlines
