Unlocking the Potential of Frontier Finance is a report was produced with the support of the DOEN Foundation, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and the Omidyar Network.

Frontier finance is defined as a segment of impact investing that seeks to improve the lives of low- to lower-middle income people across emerging and frontier markets.

The report examines the main features of frontier finance impact investments and finds significant opportunity for making an impact in this sector.

The report is also based on the analysis of 40 frontier finance transactions, 10 interviews, and a workshop discussion with 39 investors and plus other ecosystem players.

Overall, the report features an overview of the frontier finance investment landscape, presents five in-depth case studies, and provides recommendations to build the market and overcome common challenges. Read the Entire Article
