Pressr: Weyay Bank Launches Podcast to Spark Conversations on Kids' Financial ...

A bank in Kuwait is trying to make it as easy as possible for kids to get their hands on money.

Weyay Bank has launched a podcast called Jeel, in which kids between the ages of 8 and 14 discuss their experiences with the bank's new app feature that lets them handle their own money, reports Gizmodo.

The bank says in a press release that the podcast will "focus around discussing kid-friendly banking, exploring their financial needs, and the value of money and finances from their point of view."

The bank, which introduced Jeel on Feb.

15, says it's designed "to cater to the evolving needs of children and their parents" and that it "empowers children to take charge of their financial affairs, while also allowing parents to control their child's card and account within the app and supervise them."

It's not the first time a bank has tried to make it easier for kids to get their hands on money: Bank of America tried to make it easier for under-18s in the US last year by allowing them to use their smartphones to make purchases and send money, reports the Washington Post.
